So much has happened in the last 2 years! I have lost friends and gained friends. I have moved. I have changed jobs. Josh is home from his mission. Oh and I GOT MARRIED!!!
I did! I got married on March 14, 2014. So I have been married for almost 2 weeks. It is great so far. I don't have anything to compare it to but I think we are doing well. LOL. I am sure you are wondering, well what is the story!
Well, here it is!
There is this app called Tinder. My friends were using it and they convinced me to download and try it.
So in this app you see profiles of people and you either like them or not.
If you both like each other, this is what you see. Then you can chat through the app to see if you would like to meet up with each other.
This is how I met Richard Cotti. We matched and started talking. We talked for a few weeks and then he asked me out! I said yes, of course :)
So we went out to dinner. I was impressed with his choice ;) We had a great dinner and great conversation. So we kept on texting and we went out again a week later and then again and again.
Then we started talking about how this felt different from any relationship we had been in. We both decided to pray about it. We also went to the temple separately so we would be able to get inspiration. We both felt like this was something we wanted to pursue and that we should get married.
This is us :)
So in November Richard asked me to take a drive up the canyon to see the sunset. I said of course and in my mind, I just knew he was going to propose. I told my best friend Emily about what I was thinking and she told me that she felt like it wasn't going to happen until after Thanksgiving. (SIDE NOTE: Emily is extremely intuitive and I have always trusted her feelings because they are always right) So needless to say, I was disappointed but I decided to enjoy the sunset.
So November 13th comes and we take a drive. The sun begins to set before we get the place he wanted to sit. We got there right as the sun was disappearing behind the mountains.
I took these pictures and then we sat down on a blanket and were just enjoying the view. I started to get very cold because the sun was gone and we were in the canyon in November. So I told him that but he just wrapped the blanket around me more. I began getting a little frustrated because I was cold and hungry and we were just sitting there. So I told him that I was convinced that he was going to propose to me tonight but that Emily convinced me that he wasn't. He said actually I don't mean to disappoint you and he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. I was sooo excited and sooo mad at Emily! She was in on it the whole time!!! LOL.
I said YES!!!!
Then we went back to my apartment and a bunch of our friends were there waiting for us! It was so awesome! Then on March 14, 2014 we go married in the Washington DC Temple.
It was the most amazing day in my life!
So that is what has been happening the past 6 months. I will continue updating this blog. I want to keep up the blog so that I can have all the memories from it!
